The City Loop cycleway crosses the stepped path between the Castle and the Maritime Museum.

Direct access to the City Loop cycle route from Lancaster station.

Line-segregated path between Long Marsh Lane and the riverside. I think I'd be crossing the line rather than trying to pass someone coming the other way in such a narrow space.

Signage for the City Loop next to the railway bridge on Long Marsh Lane.

The City Loop signage coming from Lancaster station.

Exit to Water Street. The turning circle has a cycle lane painted around it! (See also #87600)

NCN69 alongside the River Lune.

Riverside cycleway towards Caton.

NCN69 turns right here to go down a ramp into the underpass beneath the road to the left. See also #87503 & #87504. The City Loop cycle route continues straight ahead on the shared footway.

Ramp up to main road before going back down to an underpass (see #87502).

No Cycling on this staircase! The stairs lead to a footbridge attached to the side of the railway bridge high above the river. Probably as quick to cycle to the Millennium Bridge now than to lug a bike up and down these stairs.

A bit of a blind corner, but widened enough to take the turn away from the stonework.

Riverside path to the west of the rail bridge.

Riverside path (and flood defence gate), and a couple of stands.
